Synopsis
A crippled war hero's death turns out to be murder in this tragic melodrama of two brothers--strong and virile Colin Trent (George Brent) and crippled and bedridden Maurice Trent (Colin Clive)--based on a Somerset Maugham story. Although there's no hope for Maurice's recovery, his wife, Stella (Josephine Hutchinson), vows to remain faithfully by his side until the bitter end. But when Maurice finally dies, Nurse Weyland (Peggy Wood) suspects that Stella was having an affair with Colin, and that Maurice was murdered.
